Rotate your shot placement—it really does make a difference. I wasn’t rotating, and the medication seemed to stop working until I switched up the injection spots.

Expect some muscle mass and strength to decrease. I’m sure there are ways to prevent it, but right now, I feel weak, and my once round, solid butt has turned into what I can only describe as a 70-year-old “old man butt.”

At first, you might lose a lot of weight quickly, and then it will taper off. Don’t give up! Just make sure you maintain during the slower periods.

If you stop the medication, remember that day three might become “the day of many poops.”

Take small doses of fiber twice daily, whether you feel like it or not. It really helps.

Some foods will make you feel lousy, so avoid them when you figure out which ones they are.

Having emotional support helps a lot. My wife does a fantastic “Dr. Now” impression when I weigh in, which keeps me motivated.

If you’re 100 pounds or more overweight, it may seem like some doctors have given up on you, but once you start losing significant weight, they’ll really step up to help. That’s been my experience, anyway.

If you see a new doctor for any health issue, let them know you’re actively losing weight.

You might find yourself uncomfortable with the loose skin. Amazon has some great compression shirts (though avoid the ones with buff models in XXS sizes). There’s one that shows a chubby guy in the ad, and that’s the one I’d recommend.

I believe this medication works best for people who need to lose around 70 to 100 pounds. If you’re only trying to shed 20 pounds, it might not be the right option. Just my two cents as a fellow Reddit user.
